The new BS6 emission norms will be implemented from the 1st of April 2020. All cars post this date will have to follow more stringent emission regulations. BS6-compliant engines will have to run on BS6 fuel, as new-generation engines running on low-quality fuel emit many toxic gases. Moreover, avoiding using BS4 fuel on BS6-compliant cars is best.

Maruti Suzuki Alto
The Maruti Suzuki Alto is among the best-selling cars in the Indian market. This model is an updated version of the Alto in India. The hatchback comes with an essential safety kit and a BSVI-compliant engine.
Maruti Suzuki S-Presso
Maruti Suzuki S-Presso has a BS6-compliant engine. It also has a round central console that houses the speedometer and infotainment system. The S-Presso is 3565mm long, 1520mm wide, and 1549mm wide. The wheelbase is 2380mm long, providing a boot space capacity of 270 liters.
Maruti Suzuki Swift
Maruti Suzuki recently updated its 1.2-liter petrol engine to abide by the upcoming stringent BS6 emission norms. The third-generation Swift hatchback is one of the models that received a BS6-compliant engine.
Maruti Suzuki Dzire
The Maruti Suzuki Dzire is among the top-selling compact sedans in the Indian market. Maruti Suzuki has updated the 12-liter petrol engine to act by the upcoming BSIV emission norms to further improve sales. The price for Maruti Suzuki Dzire starts at Rs. 5.83-9.58Lakhs.
Maruti Suzuki Wagon R
Maruti Suzuki launched the new-generation Wagon R in the Indian market. The car comes with two engine options: the first one is 1.0-liter petrol, and the second one is 1.2-liter petrol. While the smaller engine is yet to receive the update, the larger and more popular 1.2-liter unit is BS6 compliant.
Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS
The new Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS comes with petrol and diesel engines, carried forward from the old model. However, the Grand i10 NIOS engines have been updated to adhere to the upcoming BS-VI emission norms.
Toyota Glanza
The Toyota Glanza is a re-badged version of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno. The new base petrol variant is Rs 6.98 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The Glanza hatchback uses the same engine as the Baleno, a 1.2-liter Dual jet petrol engine with Smart Hybrid Technology.
Jeep Compass
Jeep is planning to introduce the diesel-automatic combo in the lower variants of the Compass very soon. The Jeep Compass Trail Hawk is the latest range-topping variant in the SUV lineup. Moreover, it is the only variant to receive the new BS-VI-compliant 2.0-liter diesel engine. Other variants of the Jeep Compass are yet to get the BS6 engine update.
