Donald Trump was recently accused of being jealous of Barack Obama. The POTUS also criticized Michelle Obama’s husband after he tweeted about economic growth.
Earlier this week, the ex-POTUS talked about the time when he signed the Recovery Act 11 years ago.
“Eleven years ago today, near the bottom of the worst recession in generations, I signed the Recovery Act, paving the way for more than a decade of economic growth and the longest streak of job creation in American history,” he wrote.
Shortly after, the POTUS slammed Barack by calling his latest tweet a “con job.” Melania Trump’s husband also accused Barack of taking credit for the economic boom that has been taking place under his administration.
“He had the weakest recovery since the Great Depression, despite zero fed rate and massive quantitative easing. Now, best job numbers ever,” he tweeted.
In a follow-up post, the president listed down some of the things that he has done that he thinks Barack was unable to do in all eight years that he was the president.
Trump’s campaign national press secretary Kayleigh McEnany also released a statement saying that the economy of the United States is recovering because of the POTUS and not Barack.
“Obama and Biden orchestrated the worst economic recovery in modern history. By contrast, though, deregulating, lowering taxes, and supporting free-market policies, President Trump has created the hottest economy on record,” McEnany said in a statement.
Meanwhile, Obama’s supporters couldn’t help but accuse Trump of jealousy and of lying about what he has done for the country.
“Stop the lies. Obama’s economy rose at a sharper incline than yours has. He created more jobs than you in his last three years, you’re creating fewer jobs than he did. You’ve added tremendously to the national debt. The only thing you’ve done is not screw his progress up completely yet,” Twitter user @DarkCovfefe said.
“Did you hear the latest con job? An illiterate, senile old man who couldn't keep a casino running in Atlantic City despite laundering Russian mob money is trying to take credit for an economy that he knows [expletive] all about,” Twitter user @FlyITGuy said.
